15. Reese Witherspoon
Whether it’s as ditzy powerhouse, Elle Woods in Legally Blonde or troubled hiker, Cheryl Strayed in Wild, Reese Witherspoon has had a long and diverse career thus far. She produced the thriller Gone Girl and won an Academy Award for best actress for her lead role as June Carter Cash in Walk the Line.
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana and raised in Tennessee, Witherspoon is famously proud of her southern heritage and paid homage to it in the 2002 romantic comedy Sweet Home Alabama.
