TAMARA ECCLESTONE is allegedly in talks to end her marriage to husband JAY RUTLAND.

The British socialite and daughter of Formula 1 billionaire boss Bernie Ecclestone has called in lawyers to start discussions on how to exit her marriage, according to a report in The Sun.

Tamara has reportedly told her family and closest friends that her relationship with the former stockbroker she wed in 2013 is “effectively over.” The couple also has a two-year-old daughter, Sophia.

The news comes following Jay’s arrest and subsequent court appearance for allegedly helping an international drugs baron evade arrest. Jay was accused last month (Feb16) of helping cocaine trafficker James Tarrant, 66, escape the U.K. while awaiting trial for drugs and gun charges stemming from 2010. Tamara did not attend when Jay appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court, East London, last week (16Mar16).

Tamara has reportedly moved into a separate bedroom in her £70 million London home and has started exploratory discussions with family lawyers to look at her options.

“The relationship was strained before Jay’s court case but this has been the final straw. They live in the same house but are no longer in the same bedroom. She has been open that their marriage is effectively over,” a source tells The Sun.

“Her first priority is protecting Sophia and upholding the family’s reputation so she won’t make any announcements in a hurry,” the source adds.

Tamara flew to the Swiss resort of Gstaad earlier this month for a skiing holiday and a crisis meeting with her father about the state of her marriage, reported The Mail on Sunday newspaper.

“Tamara has no intention of discussing her marriage with the media at this time,” said the socialite’s spokesman.
