The band was scheduled to kick off its Of Mice & Men tour with Marilyn Manson on Thursday night (09Jun16), but Taylor’s health comes first.

The tour will now begin in Nashville, Tennessee on 28 June (16).

“Regretfully, I’m sending this to our fans to inform you that we will be postponing the first couple of weeks of our upcoming U.S. tour,” Taylor wrote on Facebook. “Unfortunately, I had to undergo an unplanned spinal surgery. I am recovering nicely and all went well! I need a little recovery time before hitting the stage… I hope you all understand and thanks for always having my back!”

It’s not clear why Taylor needed surgery, but he shared a post-surgery video on Facebook earlier this week (beg06Jun16), pointing out where medics operated on him.

“They shaved the vertebrae down and all kinds of crazy s**t,” he told fans.

Meanwhile, Slipknot have a big date to look forward to in September (16), when their Knotfest festival merges with Ozzy Osbourne’s Ozzfest. Ozzfest Meets Knotfest will take place at the San Manuel Amphitheater and Festival Grounds in San Bernardino, California on 24 and 25 September (16).
