Sherri Shepherd LOSES BID To Halt Child Support

Actress/TV personality SHERRI SHEPHERD has lost a legal challenge against paying child support for her son, who was born via surrogate.

The Precious star split from her husband of three years, Lamar Sally, in May, 2014 while the surrogate was pregnant, and Shepherd declared no interest in the baby, named Lamar, Jr., following his birth in August (14).

A judge ruled her the legal mother in April (15), and she was subsequently ordered to pay $4,100 (£2,500) each month in child support to Sally, who has full custody, as part of their divorce settlement.

Shepherd accused Sally of defrauding her by signing surrogate paperwork when he allegedly knew they would split, and urged a judge to rule that she should not have to pay child maintenance.
