Orlando Bloom ‘REFUSED Entry To India’

ORLANDO BLOOM was reportedly deported from India over the weekend (19-20Dec15).

The 38-year-old actor flew into Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport from the UK on Saturday (19Dec15), but it’s claimed he was sent straight back because he didn’t have the correct travel visa.

The star was due in the country as a guest of the state and was preparing to promote tourism. He is said to have applied for the correct paperwork online well in advance of his trip, but he wasn’t told his request had been unsuccessful until he touched down.

“Orlando was invited for a government program,” a source told Mail Today in India. “The arrogant behaviour of Immigration officials has dented India’s image globally as they deliberately deported him even when they had other options to allow him to stay here.”

It’s claimed that a temporary landing permit could have been given to the star, which would have secured him 72 hours in the country. However, this didn’t happen and instead Orlando was sent back to the UK on a flight at 4am.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj was then involved in the process, meaning on Sunday (20Dec15) the star was able to fly back to India and was allowed to enter the country.

According to the report, Orlando was “upset” by the whole process.

“There is a written order that a passenger who has been denied entry has to be sent back on the same flight through turnaround flight,” an official insisted to Mail Today.

“In this case as well, the order was followed by officials. Though TLP (temporary landing permit) was an option as Orlando is a famous personality, we have to check the circumstances and this option was not explored.”
