Nick Jonas’ Fraternity Film HEADING To Sundance Film Festival

NICK JONAS is to be featured at the Sundance Film Festival for the first time when his new fraternity film Goat has its world premiere at ROBERT REDFORD’s event.

The Jealous singer’s new movie, produced by James Franco, is one of 16 films vying for victory in the festival’s U.S. Dramatic Competition category.

Nick stars as a college student pledging his brother’s fraternity in an attempt to prove his manhood, and it also features Virginia Gardner and Ben Schnetzer.

The singer/actor took to to share his excitement, writing, “So excited and so honored to have GOAT premiering at Sundance! Park city (Utah) here we come!”

Going up against Goat is Beyond the Lights star Nate Parker’s slave drama The Birth of a Nation, which he wrote, directed and produced as well as starred in.

Other notable films in the competition include a movie about U.S. President Barack Obama’s first date with his wife, an adventure drama starring Daniel Radcliffe and Paul Dano, and Rebecca Hall’s biopic of news anchor Christine Chubbuck, who committed suicide on-air in 1974.

The annual festival, founded by Redford, runs from 21 to 31 January (16).
