Marilyn Manson NOT VOTING In 2016 Presidential Election

MARILYN MANSON has decided against exercising his right to vote in the upcoming U.S. presidential election because he wants nothing to do with either HILLARY CLINTON or DONALD TRUMP.

The Personal Jesus star, real name Brian Warner, cast his first ever presidential vote for Democratic incumbent Barack Obama in 2008, and continued to support the nation’s first African-American leader in 2012, but he is planning to sit out November (16)’s election.

“I don’t find either candidate to my liking, so I choose to stand out of this one,” he tells Rolling Stone magazine.

Defending his decision, the singer, who hails from the swing state of Ohio, explains, “I don’t think that’s a coward’s stance. A lot of people might say that. I just don’t really want to be a part of this piece of history. Last time, I did want to be involved in some piece of history as a voter.”

Manson believes the world of politics has become increasingly “chaotic” with the use of the Internet and rise of social media because instead of judging candidates solely on their policies, every little bit of information about their private lives is also made public – and the rocker is not sure he likes it.

He says, “It’s a tough call because if you look back at old presidents that have been in the past, and you weren’t old enough to know how they lived their lives, and you didn’t live in the era that was so media-saturated and Internet and just so many opinions swirling around, the world seems a bit chaotic more than it should be.”

However, he notes voting for public officials “just comes down to two things: who has more charisma, and who are they appealing to. And neither one of them appeals to me.”

Democratic nominee Clinton will face off with the Republican Party’s candidate Trump when Americans go to the polls on 8 November (16).
