Singer/actress JENNIFER LOPEZ insists there is no feud between her and MARIAH CAREY, despite longstanding rumours.

The pop superstars have been at the centre of feud gossip for several years, but in 2014, Lopez dismissed the reports and praised Carey.

“I don’t have a feud against (sic) her at all,” she said. “I know from back in the day, I’ve read things that she’s said about me that were not the greatest, but we have never met. Like, we don’t know each other. I think it’s kind of from word of mouth of things that have happened in the past that I’m not really aware of. But I don’t know…

“I would love to meet her and I would love to be friends with her. I think she’s incredibly talented and I’ve always been a fan of hers. My All is one of my favourite songs of all time. I just love her. It saddens me to hear anything that’s negative because I’m a fan of hers.”

However, last year (15), the rumours began to swirl again after Lopez was spotted texting during Carey’s performance at the Billboard Music Awards.

“First of all that was not fair, them with the texting thing because I watched a lot of it,” she told U.S. chat show Watch What Happens Live! on Monday (29Feb16). “It was a long performance. I watched most of it. I may have looked down for one second and people were like, ‘Look at her, look at her.’ So not fair. I was watching her the whole time.”

The 46-year-old also insists she was not trying to purposely avoid Carey’s Las Vegas show after taking in Celine Dion, Britney Spears and Shania Twain’s concerts in Sin City.

“I think last year when it (Carey’s residency) started I was already here in New York filming (TV drama) Shades of Blue and doing (American) Idol on the weekends,” she continued. “I didn’t have a lot of free time and then I started preparing my own (show). I don’t think there’s been a time where I could have seen it. Would I want to? Yeah, I want to see it, why not?”
