Hayden Panettiere’s Happy Spirit Was Key To Losing Baby WEIGHT

Actress HAYDEN PANETTIERE has credited a healthy “spirit” with helping her shed her pregnancy pounds.

The Nashville star became a first-time mother in December, 2014, when she gave birth to daughter Kaya with her boxer fiance Wladimir Klitschko.

She subsequently revealed she had been struggling with post-partum depression and she ended up seeking help in a treatment centre in October (15).

She has since returned to the public eye and has been showing off her slender frame, revealing a healthy approach to weight loss was the key to regaining her pre-baby figure.

“The more that you give yourself grace, the better that you feel,” the 26-year-old told People.com.

“You go through the, ‘I’m not going to eat, I’m not going to eat this, I’m not going to eat that….’ Part of it (losing the weight) is mind, body and spirit. Spirit’s a huge part of it, so being happy and being content (helps).”

Hayden also admitted returning to work on her hit TV drama played a big part in her slim-down process.

“I’m standing on my feet on the show for sometimes hours in a day,” she explained.

And when she isn’t at work, the actress likes to work out on a treadmill while watching her favourite TV shows.

“I put on some guilty pleasure TV and just jog,” she revealed.

She has also started involving little Kaya in her exercise routines: “Working out with your baby is actually great,” Hayden smiled. “When I’m holding her in my arms, I lift her above my head, or do bicep curls with her, or I’ll dance with her a lot. She’s the best weight I can find!”

Regaining her slender figure hasn’t stopped Hayden from indulging in fast food every now and then. She has even signed on as the new spokesperson for burger chain Carl’s Jr., and shot a commercial for the company in Los Angeles last month (Feb16), when she was photographed wearing a pair of Daisy Dukes on the set of an upcoming ad campaign.
