FIFTY SHADES OF GREY and JUPITER ASCENDING are top contenders for the worst movie of 2015 at the upcoming Golden Raspberry Awards.

X Fifty Shades of Grey

The critically-panned erotic drama and the space adventure earned six nominations each, along with Pixels and Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, which all landed on the shortlist for Worst Picture. The category also features the Fantastic Four remake, starring Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan, which scored five dishonourable mentions.

Fifty Shades of Grey’s stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are up for Worst Actress and Worst Actor respectively and Worst Screen Combo. Director Sam Taylor-Johnson and screenwriter Kelly Marcel are also named for their work.

Johnson will contend with Jupiter Ascending’s Mila Kunis, Gwyneth Paltrow (Mortdecai), Jennifer Lopez (The Boy Next Door) and Katherine Heigl (Home Sweet Hell) to avoid the dishonour of Worst Actress.

Dornan’s fellow Worst Actor nominees including Razzies favourite Adam Sandler for The Cobbler and Pixels, Kevin James for Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, Channing Tatum (Jupiter Ascending) and Johnny Depp (Mortdecai).

Depp has also received an embarrassing Worst Screen Combo nomination for his “glued-on moustache” in Mortdecai, and his competitors include Sandler and “any pair of shoes” in The Cobbler, James and his Segway or fake moustache in Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 and all of the Fantastic Four actors.

The 2015 Academy Award winners, Eddie Redmayne and Julianne Moore, have not escaped a humiliating nomination on the Razzies shortlist for their supporting roles in Jupiter Ascending and Seventh Son respectively.

The critically slammed Fantastic Four reboot has been named in the Worst Remake/Rip-off/Sequel category alongside Alvin & The Chipmunks: Road Chip, Hot Tub Time Machine 2, Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence) and Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.

Jupiter Ascending

Elizabeth Banks, M. Night Shyamalan, Will Smith and Sylvester Stallone are all nominated for the Razzie Redeemer Award, for stars who have gone from flops to career success.

The winners of the spoof awards, which celebrate the worst Hollywood films and performances, will be announced on 27 February (16), the night before the annual Academy Awards.
