The Read All About It star reportedly met the British producer, also known as Bigg Hypes, while working on the follow-up to her 2012 debut album Our Version of Events and they have embarked on a relationship.

Things have flourished between the pair after they were reportedly being introduced by mutual friends.

Hypo helped Emeli get over the end of her marriage to marine biologist husband Adam Gouraguine in 2013, after only one year as man and wife, according to Britain’s The Sun newspaper.

“Emeli was in a bad place when she split from Adam but time is a healer and she really likes Hypo,” a source said. “It’s only her second relationship so she’s been cautious… But Emeli has really clicked with him and they even travelled to Jamaica together in March.”

Emeli, 29, has posted pictures on Instagram of the couple and in the most recent photo, she wrote in the caption, “Sunshine through my window” followed by a love heart emoji. In another snap, they are wearing matching soccer shirts with their surnames on the back. Emeli has also appeared in a few pictures on the rapper’s Instagram, including two from their trip to Jamaica. And her fans will be pleased to hear their growing closeness appears to have given her music a boost too.

“She thought she had finished her album last year but this has given her a whole new wave of inspiration which is why it’s taken longer than expected,” the source added.

The singer announced she had split from Adam, who she had been with since she was 17 years old, during an interview with Britain’s The Times newspaper in 2014.

She said, “I think I spent the couple of months after (the split) not in denial, but not really dealing with what had happened… He was my first ever boyfriend. That’s the only person I’ve been with for the past 10 years. So (losing) our relationship more than the marriage was the big part for me to deal with.”
